<![CDATA[Team Saquish Shines at 2011 Snow Row! by Peter Smith]]>Mon, 14 Mar 2011 06:30:23 -0800http://www.saquishrowingeducationsocietyinc.org/1/post/2011/03/team-saquish-shines-at-2011-snow-row-by-peter-smith.htmlThis year's Snow Row is one that will not soon be forgotten. The entire Saquish fleet was on the water, with each crew having their own story to tell at the end of the day. Congratulations to the men of the Interceptor for bringing back the coveted golden clam shell to Saquish Rowing. The Tucker, crewed by the Mother Tuckers and coxed by Master and Commander Sterling Wall, also was a winner with the best time in its class - well done. The most important story of the day, however, was the crew of the Jenness and their rescue of five rowers who were capsized, found and saved. With Janet Reddy's skill with the rudder, I hear each rower was plucked from the sea one by one, unharmed. Congratulations! A proud moment for us all.

<![CDATA[Upcoming Coxing Clinic]]>Mon, 25 Oct 2010 07:40:11 -0800http://www.saquishrowingeducationsocietyinc.org/1/post/2010/10/upcoming-coxing-clinic.htmlThe Board of Directors is getting ready to put together a coxing clinic. We don’t have many details yet, but it will be for beginners and then another version for more experienced coxswains. The clinic might be a mix of in-class and on water exercises.

We are looking for volunteers to form a committee on putting such a clinic together. The intent is to issue a certificate of attendance that we will also offer to other clubs. If interested, let Tony Ruocco know.

<![CDATA[Plymouth Ramp Parking]]>Sun, 02 May 2010 06:14:14 -0800http://www.saquishrowingeducationsocietyinc.org/1/post/2010/05/plymouth-ramp-parking.htmlSunday, May 2 starts the parking ban on non-trailered vehicles.

And also starts the $5 parking fee for the trailer. The machine takes singles or a $5, it does not make change, does not take $10 bills. Sometimes we catch a break in that the machine is not yet installed, in which case we don't have to pay. We do not yet have any parking stickers so be prepared with some singles or a $5 to park.
